My name is Matthew Page, and we visited Castaway Lake 2 for a week on the above dates.
I went with 6 of my friends and this is our weeks catch report.
Most of our carp fell to double or single cell bottom baits over large beds of mixed particle and pellet at distance but we also picked up a lot of carp using the items from the particle mix.
For the catfish we used live and dead bait but they also fell to carp baits and big pellets fish over large patches of bait, strong tackle was essential to land them.

CATFISH TOTALS
1 X 80 2 X 70+ 10 X 50+ 7 X 40+ 5 X 30+ 2 X 20+ AND ONLY 3 FISH UNDER 20
Between 7 of us we had well over 2000 pounds of fish in the week topped of by a massive 48.7 mirror and a 82lb catfish.
We have already booked for May of next year. |
